Write the first draft of your novel in a month!
NaNoWriMo can look and feel daunting. I mean, writing every day for a month. “I can’t force myself to write if not inspired” is what I hear most often from people who renounce to attempt NaNoWriMo.
But what if you didn’t need inspiration? What if you could write every day, even when you are not inspired because you have a direction and an awareness that will guide you even on tough days?
I’ve taken part in NaNoWriMo almost every year since 2005, and this is what I’ve learned: no, you can’t be inspired every day, 30 days in a row, but yes, you can definitely write every day, 30 days in a row. You just need a roadmap, and this is what this planner will give you.
But I’m a pantser. I don’t plan, I hear you say.
Well, there are many ways to ‘plan’ a novel. If you’re thinking outlines, characters sheets, all that kind of stuff: stop! Your roadmap doesn’t need to guide your every step. It needs to give you awareness of what the story is about and direction so that you can move from the beginning of the story towards an end you know, at least roughly.
It’s the real difference between having a fair chance at winning NaNoWriMo and having a slim chance.
I designed this workbook with my decade-long experience in NaNoWriMo. These are templates I do use for my NaNoWriMo – and for any story, really. It will help you too.
